The SMS service which was snapped 5 months back in Kashmir was restored in Kashmir a few days back by BSNL and Airtel. Reliance Jio also activated its SMS services in Kashmir today.
After the abrogation of Article 370 in J&K, the Central Government had introduced various curbs including with drawl of Mobile, Landline and SMS Services in Kashmir to avoid unrest. Though Landline, Mobile and SMS Services have been restored in phases across Kashmir. Mobile internet services remain suspended across Jammu and Kashmir.
